Okay! That's it! Fanime is all done! I posted the last of the photos to BlankLogo just a few minutes ago. I've also posted them to my Facebook and tagged everyone. I'm still waiting on a few friend requests to finish tagging that lot. Gotta update Flickr next. And probably add another one or two here today or tomorrow.

BlankLogo: http://www.blanklogo.com/gallery2/thumbnails.php?album=81
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2021956&id=1532029927&page=2#/album.php?aid=2021956&id=1532029927&ref=mf

And finally...I took just shy of 700 photos at the convention. I posted 55. So there are juuuust a few that didn't make it, for one reason or another. I have posted thumbnail archives on my server that can be downloaded. The thumbnails are only 500px, so they're just for previewing, not posting. If you like a specific shot of you I didn't post, comment me here with the photo #s and I'll Photoshop them for you (or if you prefer I'll send you the file to PS yourself).

About halfway through my Fanime photos. Current progress: http://www.blanklogo.com/gallery2/thumbnails.php?album=81

I should be done around Sunday...I hope. I'll also zip up all the files and let everyone pick through the leftovers for any they're interested in.

Following Anela's post last night, I had to jump on the rest of this set and finish up ASAP. Fortunately I was already half-done.

So, without further ado...here's the link!

Hey everybody!

I'm heading up to Sacramento mid-week for a couple shoots. It's a looooong drive. I was curious if anyone else was heading in the same direction and wanted a ride? I'd LOVE to have some company!

Well it was supposed to be that time of year again - when the Sakura (Cherry blossoms) bloom and everyone heads up to Lake Balboa for wonderful pink vistas and hours of posing and shutter snapping. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out that way. Anyone who recalls last year's amazing bloom (http://blanklogo.com/gallery2/thumbnails.php?album=41), will remember you couldn't walk five feet without running into another tree in full pink regalia. This year was nothing like that. The trees were sparse, the best of them being, maybe, halfway in bloom. And
waiting didn't seem to help the cause.

On Februrary 28 and again on March 15 I headed up to the park with friends and other photographers in tow. In the end there was little pink to be found and the schizophrenic weather - warm, sunny patches interspersed between harsh, cold winds - was little help.

Still, I came away with some really awesome photos, just not many with cherry blossoms in them. Got a great small Street Fighter set, a few shots of a friend as Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura and a VERY impromptu fashion shoot. ;)

The hills are aliiiiive...

Well it was a short ride...and now it's over.

I NEED work! Yeah...I know...so does everyone else.

I'm just saying. If anyone knows of any job openings, I could use the help. :(

I will be heading with some friends to explore the abandoned subway tunnels under downtown LA. We're planning our trip for Saturday, Feb 14. If anyone would be interested in joining us, let me know. I have no idea what to expect.

Here's a link you can read through, if interested: http://www.westworld.com/~elson/larail/PE/tour.html

Since this article was written in 2000, I need to drive over and take a look around this week to verify the tunnel is still open on the one end. If not, then this whole post is pointless!

Wow...the Mesa Convention Center actually has quite a few nice locations for shooting cosplay. Don't have any sleep though so probably save most of the photography for Sat and Sun. I'll concentrate on reporting and coverage today instead. Wil Wheaton, Marina Sirtis and Brent Spiner here this weekend. Must avoid fangirling!!

To say my Winter Fashion photos are "eclectic" would be an understatment. :( I haven't been this concerned about a group of photos in...well I can't remember how long. I'd appreciate any comments on these from those involved. Models, if you're unhappy with any of these, please let me know and I will remove them.

Photos in the cut... )

I'm not really using my LJ much anymore. I still use it keep up with a bunch of you guys and comment on your posts, but I'm not really a big fan of LJ for blogging.

Now what I've sent http://www.blanklogo.com up with Wordpress, most of my blogging will be done there. I have a DeviantArt account for the photos I consider my best work: http://blanklogo.deviantart.com. I added a Twitter for quickie updates and random, nonsensical junk: http://www.twitter.com/blanklogo. And I have a Facebook now too under Michael Rodriguez.

If anyone wants to join me on any of the other networks, I'd love to have you. :) This account isn't going anywhere, but it won't be very active.

Final note: Anime LA pix have been posted on BlankLogo! Check em out! The CA WFS photos will be up in a few days.
